An excellent blog entry:
• has well developed paragraphs that have appropriate and creative transitions;
• has been proof-read to completely eliminate grammar, punctuation and spelling errors;
• makes use of source material properly: quotes from source article and provides an in-text link to that article, finds additional substantiation for your own views/opinions, properly uses MLA citation;
• concisely, but thoroughly, summarizes the source article;
• provides an analysis of how and how well the writer of the article accomplishes his or her objective(s);
• identifies any logical fallacies or weaknesses within the article;
• productively engages in dialogue with the article by using the they say/I say template as inspiration;
• is completed before Friday morning.
I will also be monitoring your comments on each other’s blogs. Please be diligent in engaging with each other to make this the best possible exercise.
